Overview

The CS202-DMX-1SS is a high-performance closed-cycle optical cryostat featuring an all-stainless-steel vacuum shroud with a welded instrumentation skirt for high-vacuum operation down to 10⁻⁷ Torr. It is cryogen-free and powered by the ARS DE‑202 series Gifford‑McMahon cryocooler. Designed for optical and electro‑optical experiments such as Raman, UV‑VIS‑IR, FTIR, photoluminescence, and resistivity measurements, the system includes a nickel‑plated copper radiation shield, five large optical window ports (1.25 in. clear view), and precise temperature control via silicon diode sensors and a thermofoil heater. It can operate in any orientation and is customizable for optical, electrical, and magnetic testing applications.
