CCS-900
Optical & Closed-Cycle Cryostats by Lakeshore Cryotonics (US)
Overview
The CCS-900 optical closed-cycle refrigerator cryostat from Lake Shore Cryotronics is designed to cool samples in an exchange gas environment, providing uniform cooling and fast sample exchange. This cryogen-free system allows for measurements from less than 4 K (with single-shot operation to <2 K available as an option) up to 800 K, making it versatile for a wide range of cryogenic experiments without using liquid helium. The system includes integrated control heaters and calibrated sensors, a 38.1 mm (1.5 in) inner diameter sample tube, and a 95.3 mm (3.75 in) square window block. It is equipped with a top-located cold head and stands approximately 114 cm (45 in) tall, weighing about 48 kg (106 lb). The cooldown time ranges from 3 to 3.5 hours. Various window options and custom sample tube sizes are available upon request for optical applications.
