FMX-4 – Optical & Closed-Cycle Cryostats by Advanced Research Systems, Inc.

Overview

The FMX-4 is an optical cryostat manufactured by Advanced Research Systems, designed for optical and electro-optical experiments. It employs a DE-204 series closed-cycle cryocooler and is built with welded stainless steel vacuum construction for stability and reliability. The FMX-4 offers four optical window ports with optional fifth-port customization, accommodating large optical access and viewing angles for experiments such as Raman, photoluminescence, FTIR, and magneto-optical studies. The system operates without liquid cryogens, providing efficient cryogenic cooling for a wide temperature range suitable for research in spectroscopy and low-temperature physics.
