CS202-DMX-20
Optical & Closed-Cycle Cryostats by Advanced Research Systems, Inc. (US)
Overview
CS202-DMX-20 is an ultra low vibration optical cryostat by Advanced Research Systems (ARS) that utilizes a helium exchange gas to decouple the sample from the cold tip of the DE-202 cryocooler. This design minimizes vibration transmission to the sample, achieving vibration levels as low as 3–5 nm. It is optimized for Mössbauer experiments and vibration-sensitive optical measurements such as micro-Raman, photoluminescence, and MOKE studies. The system features a downward-oriented cold tip for convective cooling efficiency, a pop-off optical block for easy sample access, large optical windows (1.25 in. diameter), and an aluminum vacuum shroud. The DMX-20 interface enables large sample viewing angles (F/1.4) and compatibility with multiple cold head configurations (DE-202AE, CS204SE-DMX-20, CS204PE-DMX-20).
