Overview

The FMX-1AL is an optical closed-cycle cryostat designed for versatility and reliable performance in low-temperature sample experiments. It operates using a pneumatically driven Gifford–McMahon cryocooler that enables completely cryogen-free cooling. The system supports a broad temperature range from below 4 K up to 350 K, depending on the cold head configuration (DE-204AE, PE, or SE models). The unit provides rapid cooldown capability to base temperature within about 1.5 hours and offers stable, low-vibration operation suitable for optical and electro-optical testing. The FMX-1AL features an aluminum vacuum shroud with multiple window ports designed for large optical access and may be paired with optional temperature interfaces extending operation to 450 K or 800 K.
