Overview
MuClock closes the performance gap between hydrogen masers and large laboratory fountain clocks by integrating cold-atom technology into a fully automated, turnkey system. It uses microwave Ramsey interrogation of laser-cooled ⁸⁷Rb atoms to achieve fractional frequency stability on the order of 10⁻¹⁵ over periods exceeding one month, with complete hands-off operation.
