Overview
Proteox5mK is Oxford Instruments Nanoscience’s ultra-low temperature Cryofree® dilution refrigerator, recognized as the world’s coldest commercially available system. It achieves continuous sub-5 millikelvin operation using Oxford’s most powerful dilution unit combined with active gas-gap heat switches to minimize eddy current heating. The system employs a low-vibration platform, enabling stable measurement environments for quantum computing, ultra-low temperature material research, and quantum transport studies. It also supports high-field applications up to 14 T, with automation and web-based control for remote operation.
