Overview

ProteoxLX is a modular Cryofree dilution refrigerator developed by Oxford Instruments Nanoscience, designed for ultra-low-temperature, multi-user, or multi-experiment environments. It enables quick configuration and system adaptability through side-loading Secondary Inserts that can be exchanged between systems, facilitating pre-aligned optical setups outside the cryostat. The system allows integration of cold electronics such as amplifiers and circulators directly during manufacture. It features ISO100-2 ports for flexible experimental wiring, with optional blank plates or custom inserts, and supports low-pass multi-stage filters operating below 100 mK. Its design incorporates a patented bottom loader with active gas-gap heat switch technology, enabling rapid cooldowns and efficient operation in quantum and cryogenic research settings.
